Why haven’t I updated in forever? We’ve been busy. REALLY busy. Besides the super energetic 3 year old and the very mobile, inquisitive 1 year old, wallblank.com, the college group at church, the MOPS group at church and trying to actually see each other once in a while….Burlap Works is starting to take off.

I have the shop up on Etsy and sales are starting to pick up. I’ve had 4 sales this week! One of which was to Italy and another to Australia. I’ve been seeing a lot more hits to the site lately and have been included in a number of Treasuries. Here’s a couple links to a Treasury that I was in that made it to the front page of Etsy (which brings sales) and here is a link to a Treasury that I just curated (it will expire on Sunday Oct 11th at 7am).

Wallblank is doing well, growing slowly but surely. We just had fall Artscene during which we hosted 8 artists in our space. The show went great, it was a good time for networking, getting exposure and supporting local artists. The Printery is the newest service that we’re offering. Check it out here. It’s only been for a little more than a week but we’re already getting some solid orders and great feedback from happy customers. I think Shawn’s biggest problem with Wallblank is that he has so many ideas for things he wants to do that there just isn’t enough time.

Shawn is also finishing up one last house remodel. I say last because he has been transitioning back into more web programming and design. Last night, Shawn and I were talking about how crazy it is that we are both business owners. We never thought that we’d be in this place, but as scary as it can be, it’s an exciting ride and we love it!
