For those of you who know Shawn well know that he is a starter, he has tons of ideas and loves to get things going. This is probably the biggest project he has initiated and it’s exciting to see where it will go. It’s scary starting a new business, especially with the economy the way it is. But last night we got the first batch of habits from the screen printer and it was SO awesome seeing them here and on real paper with real ink. They look awesome.

The Story
While once again rummaging through eBay for something to inspire me, I came across a handful of 1950’s McCalls sewing patterns. I’ve always been intrigued by the layers of tulle and wool that make up these iconic skirts and so, I made one for myself. The quote conjures up an era of martinis and kitten heels, certainly lending itself to a little kick and a skip out of sight. The black and white is simply a nod to the classicalness and modernity of the era itself.
