I update the kids blog so often that I tend to forget about this one. But Shawn and I, and the family as a whole, have a lot going on…so here goes.

Traditionally, even though the leaves are dying and falling and it’s the end of summer, I always think of fall as a time to start fresh. Probably because of all the years of school…new classes, new teachers, new clothes, new school supplies. This year fall is full of starts once again.

I’m coordinating the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group at our church this year. Last year I co-coordinated and this year I’m flying solo. I’m really excited about the new things we’re doing. I kind of see this year as an update. Maywood started hosting a MOPS group in 1988 – 20 years ago. It’s time for some new methods and marketing. Instead of the usual craft time (which is fun but even “crafty” people get sick of) we’re having different activities and demonstrations. We’re also updating our literature and business cards to something more professional. Here’s a pic of the registration table for church tomorrow. Adventures in Mothering is the theme for the year, provided by MOPS international.
