Christmas Season
I love the Christmas season more than any other holiday. I love decorating the house and enjoying the Christmas tree. I love baking cookies and going Christmas shopping. And as long as I have time for it I even enjoy wrapping presents. I love Christmas parties and get togethers. I love waking up on Christmas morning with my family around. I’m so excited about the years of Christmas’ that we’ll have with Sam and some day, other children around us.
More than ever before I am in awe of the story of Christ’s birth. Having Sam and realizing how vulnerable he is and how completely dependant on us he is makes me realize anew how much our Lord truly sacrificed by sending his son. Mary and Joseph had nothing to offer Jesus, not even a soft baby blanket or a warm bed. There was no health care, no assurance of healthy meals. Mary did not have lactation consultants nor pediatricians to turn to. Christ was brought into a world much more difficult than ours today, and yet the Lord still sent him, in all his vulnerability for our sakes. Thank you Lord!
Don’t get too caught up in the stress and busyness of this season. Relax and enjoy it. Spend time with friends and family and let the details go. Spend some time reflecting on the greatest gift that we have recieved. The Lord Jesus Christ. Have a great holiday season and Merry Christmas!

So much to be thankful for… God gave… Jesus was born… Man celebrated Christmas… Families gathered… You came to visit and to celebrate an early Christmas and in doing so ended up bringing together the whole family for the first time in several years. Life is good.
God Bless you all,
Dad B.
