A Little Jazz?

by danielle

Shawn and I have been down in Louisiana for a month and a half now. It’s gone really fast but at the same time it feels like we’ve been here for a whole lot longer. Things are starting to settle down a little bit around here and Shawn and I have gotten to do some fun stuff. Last night we went to the French Quarter with some of our friends down here and went to the Palm Court Jazz Café. Palm Court is a great place with live musicians and cajun food. It seemed a bit pricey at first, but when you realize that you’re also getting several hours of great entertainment, the prices are really quite reasonable. The jazz combo was awesome. There was a trumpet player, clarinet, bass, drums and piano. We had so much fun. We even got to watch a little swing dancing by people who really knew what they were doing. This place had great atmosphere, great food and awesome music. We are defintely hoping to go back. The best part for us was that the manager was who bought our MINI and she took care of our meal. What a blessing!
